Gas tanks
Has Ford ever used a plastic gas tank (stock side mount) for the 95+ E series? I have a tank that is delaminating and would like to replace with something that wont do the same in the future.

The late '70's tanks were galvanized. I am not sure if Ford used plastic tanks in that '80's and later.
Some of the F-series pickups used plastic tanks, which may closely interchange.
My '78 has the main-rear tank and an aux belly tank, both galvanized.
Some of the tank manufactures will give you the option of steel or plastic. _ _ bonus
