Just watched a YouTube video on how to replace the TPS. Doesn't look too hard. They recommend heating up the screws as they say Ford put too much Loctite on them. I am praying I won't need to do that because I don't have a long electrical extension cord, and my gun is the pistol type, not the straight one. Judging by the video, the pistol type won't be able to get to the screws with all the other stuff in the way. Anyway, time to stop being so lazy and get out there and do this.
I guess I’m the pup of the group @ 62 but construction has made me feel more like 82 ,
we got a little H2O last night, which will make this grass grow even more , I think I need a bunch of goats , I’m doing the math on it and I’d be way ahead of my fuel cost, ware n tare on me ol body and I could rent them out to other old guys that would rather spend more time looking at their fishing gear
Looks like you caught the whole family!
Well. the truck sage has not ended yet. Decided to take the truck in to have the TPS replaced. Turns out that is not the problem. It needs a throttle body. So, the mechanic said he would try to find one Monday. I looked it up on NAPA's website, they have two, one for $250 plus $34 core, and one for $299 no core. That one needs to be ordered; the other one can be picked up in store. I will wait until I hear from the mechanic on Monday before making my decision.
Get one out of a pick n pull ,
next halibut trip is in June 11 , with no electric reels , like I enjoy the punishment of reeling 500’ 50 time in 8 hours my right arm & wrist look like Popeyes while my left arm has nothing to do but to hang on to the reel , it would be nice to maybe have a handle on both sides of the reel but noooooo, they don’t makem like that, have a great day fellers.

I always say it's not how old I am it's how hard I lived that makes me feel older then I am.

Our VBS this year is "Treasure Chest" themed. I was originally thinking of dressing up like Captain Jack Sparrow, but that is $130 at Amazon, and they don't have my size. Which is fine because it will be held in June and I don't want to wear layers of clothes in the heat. They have a pirate outfit that is only $40 and it at least goes up to triple X large, so I may do that, and buy a toy plastic sword to go with it, but maybe not, since I will on the scooter the entire time.
I bought the throttle body from O'Reilly. Got it in less than 3 hours with no core charge. With my veteran's discount it was $153.53. Hopefully, this will be the last part I need to get that POS running. I am beyond tired of throwing money at this truck.
