Ok. So I was looking for something specific, a 1989 F150, XLT Lariat, 4x4, short bed, manual, V8 (302 specifically).I looked for a long time and then I found it! It was perfect. Needed an absolute ton of work, but it fit everything I wanted. Then due to some very unfortunate and unforeseen events I was forced to sell, not only that truck, but everything else I owned, including my house. Fast-forward 2 1/2 years and now I’m in a position where I want to try to attempt this project again. I actually reached out to the guy that bought mine to see if he still had it and was interested in selling and he informed me that he had done a complete restoration on it and was not interested in selling at this time. Needless to say the pictures he sent me were exactly the dream truck I had envisioned building. I’ve now found another truck that meets the exact criteria. But it needs a ton of work. So I’m hoping this forum can help me. One thing I know I wanna do is change the interior from a blue to a red. Basically re-create the truck that the guy who bought mine created. My original project truck that I had to sell This is that same truck after the restoration by the guy who bought it from me This is the new truck. I’m intending on Purchasing, but I wanted it to essentially be identical to the build he did above. Same colors and everything.
But I also intend to completely rebuild and modify the engine, trans, electrical, suspension, exhaust, etc..
