Tire struggles

I need new tires on my truck. I’m currently running 16.5 inch wheels and have had no luck finding tires to fit on them. I don’t really want to buy new wheels. What are my options. Is this size really completely obsolete and discontinued? My current tires are 33x12.5 R16.5

Any info is much appreciated!

Used Humvee tires are 16.5s, fairly cheap and durable tire. I think they are 35's but not sure. BF Goodrich makes their baja tire with 16.5, they do fairly good too. Personally I would either go with a 15, 16, or 17 inch wheel. Options for tires are much cheaper and easier to find. If you have the 8 lug axles, the bolt pattern is 8x6.5, which is common for dodge and chevrolet trucks. If only ford didn't change their patterns in 95.

37 12.50 16.5 highly recommend using them if possible since they're cheaper than a tire that size typically is

Also idk about dodge but chevy rims wont fit over the hub on the fords

I want to run my Western turbines and the only thing available in a 33/12.50-16.5 is what Interco makes. they're not a great tire and they're expensive but its what you get. anything bigger than 33" looks kidderized to me I don't kike it.

If you're not in love with your wheels go to 16" and forget about it.

What are the tires lacking… or are they just poor quality.

I know they are a bit pricey, but it works out to a similar cost if I have to buy new wheels and tires instead of just purchasing slightly more expensive tires.

Yep, I'd switch to 16" wheels and tires too.
My '79 came with 16.5 wheels, Camper Special and I switched to 16" wheels because I wanted taller and narrower tires.
You can get just about any size tires in 16" for a lot less money than 16.5".

My tires are 32" tall and I think they fit my truck perfectly. 285/75R16
Just me but I don't care for lifted truck with huge tires.
I know I'm probably in the minority.

Just think how much you'll save on the next set of tires.

The interco's are okay, but they're not anything like a new BFG or Goodyear or something. they're stiff and not very good looking in my opinion. I only put up with them because these wheels were not made in 16" .

The cost for new wheels and tires might even it out, but when your new 16.5's need replaced you're right back where you are today again, and maybe you won't even be able to get Interco's and what will the price be then? that's why I say if you're not in love with the wheels go to 16" .
