7.3 tune

Hey guys I have 8 ad injectors in my 2000 7.3. Been wanting to put the ae back in. Should I do that or tune around the ad in #8. Doesn’t seem to run the same as when ae was in. Does it even matter? Was told it didn’t was just a little noisier……. Any advice? Truck has 345k. Only new injectors and turbo . I keep her pretty stock. Thanks

I wouldn't mess with it. Our 2000 Excursion has the different AE injector in #8 cylinder, while my 2000 F350 has the AD injector...like all the others...in #8 cylinder. This is how they came from the factory...still on stock sticks, although they've been shimmed. I can't really tell a difference in them and actually didn't even know it until I went in for glow plugs, shim injectors, new UVCH, etc. a couple years ago...and we've had these trucks for 25+ years. I think the CPS will make more of a difference in it...
