Ticking noise

I have a 24 F350 with the 7.3 Godzilla. I have about 13,000 miles on it and just changes the oil at the dealer. I changed it earlier than the usual 5,000 miles.
My wife and daughter noticed the other day a ticking noise coming from the engine, mainly on the passenger side when my daughter got out of the cab. (You can't hear it inside the cab.)
When I got back home I checked it out. It reminds me of a manual typewriter clicking sound... click click, click. Sometimes the sound is intermittent in volume and duration.
Going to the dealership to diagnose it but thought I would see if anybody had any experience with something like this on theri 7.3 Godzilla? Any thoughts?

Here is an update: the dealer service checked out the clicking and determined the clicking was caused from the electronic fan clutch. Replaced the unit and no more clicking.
Great to know it was not a lifter issue!

Through software updates, the 2024 "should" be more immune from the lifter tick, that was 2020-2022. Though a hardware re-design was not introduced until 2026MY. Lets hope it's not that. It usually wrecks the entire top end.

Hence why I elected for extended warranty. If something major happens hope it's during the bumper to bumper time frame. I would think it would be less of a hassle.

Won't matter, the extended warranty covers function less a co-pay (I think $100). So if it is a lifter failure, with an extended warranty, at worst you're looking at paying $100...and being without your truck until they fix it.

Depending on what region you're in, Ford has gotten very aggressive with prior approval for engine and transmission work. LTIS just dropped from 3/36 to 12/12 at the beginning of the month. Prior approval will likely require a full tear down to causal which means the dealership would have a bay down the entire time. Just know this could be a lengthy process going in and not really the dealers fault. Even Zone managers are complaining about how nit picky prior approval is being

It was in a tow truck. The only other 7.3 we've had to replace in 3 1/2 years was also in a chassis cab as well

However, the tow truck complaint was a tapping noise on the passenger side. That's cylinder 4. I hope it's not for OP's sake; let us know what they find!

Hope it's something else and not a lifter issue.
