I recently sold my 2019 F250. I loved that truck. Only reason I sold it was because it was about to hit 190k miles. I've never kept a truck that long and got the itch for something newer. I'm not a huge fan of the new gen body style with the side steps on the bed and bumpers, and I refuse to pay $100k for a new truck so I found a lightly used 2022 with only 17k miles on it and grabbed it. The truck is super clean and nice, nothing wrong with it. I like it. But I feel like the build quality is not as good as the 2019. I definitely prefer the old 6 speed tranny over this 10 speed. And any little rattle bugs the heck out of me and I'm chasing them everywhere.
The 2019 had a rubber liner in that little storage space on the dash above the radio. This one does not and anything I put up there rattles. My old truck also had a rubber mat in the storage box under the back seat. This one does not and the ratchet straps other stuff I have in there just rattles like crazy in the bare plastic storage box. Same thing with the cup holders on the back side of the console. No rubber inserts in the bottom. I keep spare keys and miscellaneous stuff in those and everything rattles.
I know this may sound nit picky but it just seems like they cheaped out on these little things. Do they make a rubber mat kit or something that I can buy? That's really my only complaint about this truck. Not a fan of the 10 speed tranny and everything rattles....
I love my 22 and so glad I got it! It has been great. The last year of that generation, and it skipped out on the mess that the 23+'s turned into! The only thing I wish the 22 had that is on the later models is the 9th injector. But 70k miles on it now and no squeaks or rattling. It's only had 2 recalls, the windshield wiper recall that came out in 2022 and an emission recall (which I have not had done). It has missed this other rash of recalls. Mine is an XLT Value and the compartment above the radio came with a rubber tray, and so did the storage compartment under the back seat. If the one you have does not have them it's because they weren't passed on with the truck. You could probably look on Amazon and pick some cheapo's up for them. As for the 10 speed, mine has also been great. The 10 speed transmission was a large part of the reason that I went with the Ford.
Edit to add, mine was built September 15, 2021! The perfect time!

my 22 has a rubber mat in the rear fold flat storage. the only thing i keep in that spot above the radio is a hat, since the center console is huge compared to my last truck. i don't notice any rattling in mine and i like the 10 spd more once it starts getting above 100*. the 6 spd in my 16 was slow to shift.

Um me too?
I am about to bite on a 2021 with 21K miles on it. Sure, I've read up on the need to add a Disaster kit (or spend $2400 and go DCR). But is the CP4 what your referencing? I mean, I am getting a 3yr extended warranty... man, just has me nervous now.
I also get the cheapening. I mean, for the cost of the truck, a deleted rubber mat is just...silly.
That was the date the RP7 pump was replaced with the RP8, it eliminates most if not all of the CP4 issues.
You mean November 2021? I would think 11/22 would be a '23 model.
Thanks for the clarification. I currently have a dpk but am doing full dcr conversion later this year. Will definitely not have to worry after that at all.

The rubber mat wasn't deleted. The OP just didn't get it in his used truck. That is on the dealership or the individual he bought it from, not Ford.
That is late in the year for a 2022 model. They stopped taking orders for 22's in April 2022, and according to Google, the 2023 MY Super Duties began production in November 2022. Are you sure you don't have a 2023 and not a 2022? It should be pretty easy to tell, the 23's started using the built in side and bumper steps and the fender badges were elongated.
