Adding up my Ford trucks
1976 F-250 highboy. Olblack. Got this truck 40 years ago. Pulled the cab n box. 390 bored 30 over, 10-1/2-1 pistons Edelbrock street racers highrise n Holly 650. Redid all brake components, u joints, n such. Then I needed it for a plow truck n put old rusted cab n box back on. Used it for 39 years. Then put it on my 90 F-250. Got a camper on my 87 F-250.
. Went to a garage sale last year n brought home a 69 Ranchero GT, S code short range Hurst 4 speed. 22,000 miles. Great shape. And a 72 F-750 with the tilt hood. Boom truck. Runs n driving now. Then I found another 69 Ranchero in good shape. Parts car no engine but nice body n C-6 tranny.
Traded my 59 Case backhoe for a 1962 Ford M151 Military Utility Tachtical Truck. Looks like a jeep but Ford had contract for a few years. Unmolested, kinda. Long story but it is a complete 1962 Ford M151. Uncut and Unmolested all original. With the rear section of another 1962 Ford M151 hooked to the back. Making it into a 6 wheel drive. True Alaskan style ! Actually research suggests a couple possibilities. The way the original M151 would have worked across many areas of Alaska with 7" wide military tires in the summer would have a hard time across muskeg. Lots of that around. Or snowpack such as in the arctic. Need flotation tires. If chains were put on the military tires they hit the outside fender well. Chains are nice in AK. Anyhows a really nice vehicle to save. Kinda mentioned this M151 as a cool ride.
. My daily driver is a 78 F-250 4x4. 42,000 miles 1 owner truck. Everything works like new. My other honorable mention daily driver is a 70 El Camino. Along with all the other stuff. Tractors, too many snogos n wheelers.
. I'll figure out some pictures of the M151. If you want. It's a pretty cool Ford
