Body control module as standalone question

Long time browser first time poster😁. I’ve gotten a lot of good info on here so wanted to say thanks. After searching I don’t see an answer to my question. I have a 2000 F-650 truck that has crank windows and manual locks. I did a aftermarket lock kit but after a few years all the solenoids have failed. So I was looking to swap in oem parts. I was going to build a harness to run them. But I came across a complete 2009 cab for free with everything. I plan to swap the doors and harness over. My question is can I run the body controller as a standalone or will it only work is on the datalink system? I was going to thin the dash harness to only the items I was going to run and swap it into my f650. Any input is greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has been answered before but I did truly search.

I did some digging into how the modules communicate on the 08+ super duties but I cannot find the specific theory of operation on the 08-10 truck's CAN and how it actually works. I suspect the smart junction box on the 08+ trucks requires full network comms to function correctly but you may be able to make the windows and locks work by manually wiring them. You'd lose the auto down but I do have this diagram and it appears as though the smart junction box only aplies power and nothing else, it is all done inside the switches. The locks on the other hand have a sense function that I am not sure would interfere with normal operation.

Thanks a bunch for looking. I was worried the module may not function without can talking. I’m going to save the wiring diagram and dig in here soon. I may try for the heck of it in the current truck providing power and ground to see if it will function. Since I have the harness and all it would be cool if it would work.
