2006 v10 atf replace help

Every time I think about getting rid of my 00 Exc or 05 F250, both with V10, I run across a reason why I just keep 'em. Can you find a way to get 50% better gas mileage 
, and fix the Ex's rusted out rockers?
The Ex uses about 1Q of oil every 1K miles. 171K miles.
I ordered 12Q of MC LV. Plan to drain the pan, and fill (on the f250). I'll do that every year, which is about 6 to 10K miles.
