I'd like to remove my rear view mirror to install a rear view camera monitor (haloview bt10. Looks like a rear view mirror).
any functionality i will lose if removed snd the hsrness unplugged? I assume the sensors on the back are for auto dim but they may also be for the auto bright headlights. A function i hate BTW.
A rear view camera will show a lag and not instantaneous as a real mirror. Plus the chance of a camera losing connection is too possible. I will stick with my mirror as primary and a camera as supplemental when towing large trailers

Any input?
You could just unplug the mirror for a few days and see what happens. The mirror would still work and any loss of functionality should be evident.
