I an trying to find out if anyone knows of any tri-fold tonneau covers for the 8ft dentsides that folds up flat against the cab when fully opened. I an only able to find one that folds 2/3s of the way open and to get it fully open you have to remove the whole thing frame and all.
Looking to get something like this but earliest I can find in either soft or hard cover is 1997 & up.
I have never seen one actually manafactured specificially for a dent side. So hopefully some one out here has found one make/model/brand that fits or fits good enough to go with it.
I've seen soft covers, I've seen DIY one piece hardcovers using wood and vinyl coverings, I never yet seen a commercial folding cover for these trucks. I made myself a 4 piece removable panel cover as a result. Uses some left over 5/8 T1-11 with HF bed liner brushed on to seal wood, supported on bed rails and a easily removed center lengthwise support beam.
I was just looking for cover that hides contents, is easy to open, and is serviceable and supports truck cover or tarp id water is an issue. It is just an idea.
