before i start, yes i know deleting is preferred but thats not in the cards for now. I am curious who has done emissions intact tuning. Truck is a 2022. the two names i keep seeing for emissions intact tuning is Calibrated Power and PPEI. Calibrated seems to have only positive reviews from what i have seen. PPEI seems to have soured some people due to the delete tunes history.

problem with this approach is that it leaves foot prints which could be a problem if you still have a warranty....and..the dealer will typically revert back to non tuned when they do routine firmware updates.
Do you have any personal experience with this? It almost seems "too good to be true".
The research begins!!
I'd prefer my ecm/tune know what my engine is actually doing rather than have a box lieing to it, there's always things lost in translation. I'll take a quality tune from a good tuner over anything else. If your warranty is valuable enough to you not to flash, are you willing to purger yourself when asked if you had any tuning devices on the vehicle should the need arise?
Just flash it or leave it stock, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

It's been in my '22 since dang near new. 45k miles or so. Painted Horse was able to get me in as a beta tester for it before it was released. The only issue is the can bus connector on the beta unit was less than ideal. I've not seen a production unit, but was told they replaced the connector.

I've had the Edge EZX on my 2020 for 60,000 miles and I have the newer version my 2023 right now. Currently at 75,000 miles and it has been in place for 50,000 of that.
The EZX will turn on Bambi Mode, Change your TPMS, and adjust your throttle response. In addition to adding hp/torque.
They are fairly mild, usually 20-70 hp. You will not see 200 hp tunes like some of the deleted guys buy.
I don't change mine around alot. It pretty much stays in the Level 2. Which is like a 25 hp bump. But I do turn up my throttle sensitivity. So it feels a lot sportier.
I tow a lot, So I just leave it in that setting.
The original Beta Test model I got, had a couple bugs, But I've been running this code for the last 14 months, And I'm not seeing any problems/glitches with it.
You have three "T" connectors under the hood. Two of the 3 are really easy to plug in, The 3rd one ( I think on the fuel line pressure ) is tough to reach and undo the connector and reconnect.
In the cab, It connects to your throttle and the back of the OBDII No cutting or slicing, Just "T" connectors placed inline with the original wiring. And a Little black box up under the dash.
It's a phone add on your iphone or android. Open the app on the phone and it connects to the black box and makes the changes. I forgot to turn it off when I was in for emission testing and I still passed emission

Thank you for the more complete explanation Jon and for hooking me up with those guys. Much appreciated!
The Edge product definitely piques my interest, especially since Banks just can't seem to get their performance tuner to the market for my '20 model.
One other question (especially with the stupid-high prices for fuel lately): What are impacts to fuel mileage? Better, worse, profiles available for "economy" mode?

I'm not a big fuel mileage tracker or guy that worries about it. So I'm not an expert at all. I don't think there is any fuel savings from a tune that is anywhere as effective as controlling the foot on the vertical pedal on the right.

I'm surprised Banks doesn't have a tune for these trucks. I remember he used to bash the other tuners for being dirty and loading up the dpf while his tunes were cleaner and didn't require regens as frequent as the competition did.

seems for some reason they cant get the 2020+ trucks figured out.
