Cage Nuts

I am looking for some cage nuts for the transmission cover for a 1954 F100. Bolt hole is 1/4-20. I can find them but not the same style.

I'm thinking you'd have to take one of these options, cut the wings down, and weld into place:

That listing is for rack mount cage nuts and definitely are not original style. They may function.

They may not be original but they snap in the original hole and work great.
