Water leak!!

So I'm washing my truck the other day, get in to drive it around the block before I dry it. Water is coming out of my iDash mount on the grab handle. I've had an occasional drip on the floor during heavy rain. I have read about water leaks in the past... obviously this is on the drivers side. Is the common theory this is coming from something around the windshield or somewhere else? I do NOT have a sunroof.

My truck still has the windshield re-seal recall, should I have this done AND tell them it's leaking or let them do it then complain that it's leaking, assuming it still does...

Do you have clearance lights on the cab?

I'd tell ford about the leak and let them reseal the windshield.

I had it leaking out of the A pillar grab handle also. My moonroof drain tube had fallen completely off and it was draining into the trim and out the handle path of least resistance.

I see you do NOT have a moonroof. However the A pillar trim and headliner are easy to drop. I’d pull it down and take a look. It’s likely draining right into the trim from somewhere maybe you can replicate it. I had another leak come out of the pinch weld in the lower A pillar that turned out to be a small crack in the roof seam sealer where the corner of the windshield and roof trim came together.

I've been thinking it's that corner of the windshield as well. That upper corner on mine just looks weird and the sealant is kind of sticky like it's not down behind the windshield like it should be.

Yeah I need to remove the A pillar trim. Like I said in my original post I would occasionally get a drip on the floor behind the emergency break pedal, this time it came out the A pillar. I always wash the truck in the same location, flat part of the street right in front of my driveway.

Ok so my roof seam leak manifested itself at the E brake pedal after coming down the pillar through the trim. Small amount of water noticed after it sat during a hurricane and then only under certain conditions. I couldn’t replicate it by pouring water on it so it was a slow seep I guess. Put some windshield sealer in that corner and it hasn’t leaked since. The crack in the sealer was very small.

My moonroof leak dumped straight into the upper trim piece and out the handle, water poured out as soon as the roof got wet and landed on the floormat.

did your team help this guy below or are you just going to hassle OP with a bunch of questions and then tell him to go to the dealer after everything like you did with this guy?

This isn't their problem.

Ask me how I know...

I was curious if this was a real Ford person or not. Reading what others have run into it seems that getting the windshield recall done might fix it as it will get resealed. Otherwise some windshield sealer might solve it. Either way truck has to go to the dealer, I'm guessing the "biodiesel" recall will get marked as an emissions recall which will prevent registration renewal in CA until it is fixed.

No, they did not. Ford Pro is a joke. I sent them a message afterward. No response. Crickets. As others have suggested, it appears they are just here to try to get people to stop talking about their problems in the open forum.

If they were helping, they wouldn't need to go to PM. IMHO, Admin should boot them off the forum for continued disinformation.
