91 F 250 460 EFI Timing cover- water pump
the newer clutch fans have 2 bolt patterns on them.. the 91 and 96 are same Napa part #. I picked one up .I will have to drill new holes in the pulley or elongate the old ones 1/8". or find a new or used one with the 2.12" bolt pattern.
believe me if you ever did this 460 pump you would do lots to avoid changing it out ever again.
Elongating the hole with a rat tail file wont be all that hard. its not a bad solution. it is centered by the .75 pilot on the pump. The clutch mounts on top. maybe 300 passes with a nice rat tail file.

You have 3 gaskets each on two sealing surfaces, they WILL fail. Thats 6 gaskets.
Permatex Right Stuff Is an RTV gasket maker
not a sealer!
Why do you think I have to remove the pump and chain cover. If I get a leak I will have to take off the pump but I will wait to see how it works first... Why so negative? have you dont this particular job before? I am learning there are 2 bolt patterns. I got the fan clutch now I just need to find a junkyard large pattern pulley or slot mine and I should be good to go. I used a permatex sealer for the threads that needed it. Many folks use the permatex right stuff on both sides of these 3 gaskets and yes cleaning all 6 mating surfaces probably took 4 hours, that I hope to never do again.
I've worked with many people that insisted it would not work. Hence the name Butcher. One thing for certain, it will or it won't. Someone will be able to say 'I told you so'. Let's hope that it will be you since you will have to do it over again. Then the class in the school of hard knocks will be achieved. More often than not, I was right, but there were times I spent way more time to do it my way, when I should have listened to others. I am stubborn that way. I am always right, except when I am wrong.
Different opinions are not negative. They are just different. If they clash with yours, that is ok.
If it does leak, report back so others can learn. If it does not leak, report back too.

IT is 3 gaskets and 6 surfaces not to mention the cork gasket that overlaps the rubber pan loop... and they meet at the block with a hope and a prayer.

you fundamntally misunderstand rtv. rtv is used OR a gasket. RTV is often used at the corners or where gaskets transition, they specify how far and how much to use in those instances
You have cork, which i wouldnt use but you can. you need gasket dressing or gasket sealer. Im just saying to do the job right while youre in there. I advise it because you dont want to tear it apart. if youre able to get the right hub you wont need to cut your pulley. be aware of the possibilit yof diffferent diameter and diffeent offset if you tried to source a different pulley
