had to add the option for brake controller from recollection on my order, head to build and price and confirm for yourself, hopefully dealer can add it for ya, still be muchos deneros ahead
Good choice on the SCLB, but I may be a little biased.
And you traded up to a more reliable truck with less gizmos and mechanical complications…all while putting another $20k back in your pocket. Nice move!
Pretty sure the XL requires you to add the brake controller, not sure if the STX incudes it or not. Either way, you can buy one and install it with Forscan, or pay big bucks and let the dealership do it. And that savings sounds about right, it's a small step down from a diesel to the 7.3, but even more going from a Lariat to an XL. Both are pretty significant price decreases... but a gas XL is certainly less expensive than a diesel Lariat. Hope you enjoy the new truck.
55mph is the sweet spot, As the speed increases, so does the sucking sound out of that 34 gal fuel tank.
55 mph where? In town? You're gonna **** off tons of people on the backroads or the interstate @ 55 MPH. You better get accustomed to paying for gas...

If you travel on backroads a lot you would know it is vital to stick to the speed limit in an area you are not familiar with. A lot of small town PDs, Sheriff's Offices and Constabularies rely on out of town turkeys' speeding to pay for their salaries, especially those with shiny new pickups towing shiny travel trailers who are just begging to be taught a lesson.
