My F-350 is making clicking noises from the doors at slow speeds, almost as if they are not shut tight. The noise comes from the latch. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know of a fix?
I have some noise in the drivers side door.It started a couple of weeks ago.If I pull inward a slight amount on the inside handle it stops.I may try to adjust the latch inward a bit.
BTW,Mine is a regular cab.

Forty,
here I am typing while you are posting and my reply looks about like an answer to your post.

Hunter40, FortyFords helped me with a similar problem with mine also. It was actually the gasket squeaking against the door frame when the door was closed. I needed to adjust the two driver's doors for proper alignment, but I did have to tighten the striker up a bit to pull the door tighter to the gasket to stop the squeaking. Also I did take some spray silicone and lubed the gasket. This also helped to eliminate the squeak. Just a note, though.....When you losen the striker latch...keep it snug..not too snug though,(that way you will be able to keep it in the new position while you retighten it) then take a piece of PVC pipe wrapped in electrical tape and use this to bump the striker where you want it. The PVC is soft enough when wrapped with the tape not to scratch the paint in the door jamb. Give it a gentle bump with a hammer and the latch will move to where you want it. Keep it lose and close the door slowly to make sure the striker is in the middle of the latch when it closes. I made pencil marks on mine before I started just to get a visual on how much the latch moved in. It just takes a little patience and your doors will be squeak free. :-X12
