Took some hail and thinking about going with the cowl or the "Stalker" hood. The rest of the body, roof included took it like a CHAMP, but the hood is absolutely toast. I also hate watching the automatic carwash dryers blow huge bowls in my al. hood, so thinking about a Cervini. They tell me hood pins are not, somehow, required or even recommended.
I like the cowl hood on some trucks, but to me, I have always associated them with Chevy thangs. I don't think a teardrop will "fit" the SD...LOL. Wifey and I like the look of the Stalker hood, sort of matching the body style and my "Raptor" grill, but there are ZERO pics online except for the limited stock photos plus 1 customer upload. I also worry about precip/debris entering, especially while moving. It seems to me the cowl would be the most "functional", and trouble free, IF the openings are large enough. It looks like the Stalker vents, at least on the Mustang, are tiny. I have the AFE Momentum GT intake, but not sure how much these hoods would do to help with that sitch.
Anyone have any input on these two hoods on a daily driver? Any pics of the Stalker? Anywhere to mount the OEM underhood light? I hear they might actually be heavier than stock? Thx!

I got the RAM hood because the openings are almost double

two ways of using the hood...use the plastic underhood guide which sends all the air to the air filter....or dont use the guide and it sends the air over intake pipes and turbo...I didnt use the guide.

in NYC stop and go traffic...the ram air hood drops IAT in between stop and go traffic

couldnt tell a difference....they came with new hood shocks but I used the original ones...which work fine.
Ill post some pics later today.
these hoods went up in price since the last time I bought the hood...had one on my prior truck and back then hood painted tom match on both sides was 1400. 18 months ago hood painted to match on both sides was 2000. I live 45 minutes from the factory and in both cases picked it up in person....no rebate for them not having to ship. paint job looks exactly like oem if you give them your door code and your paint is not faded.
