I have a Landmark 5th Wheel with the Ford trailer camera/tpms system. The tpms worked fine with the 2017 SD & today for the first time I tried to use it with my 2025 SD. A message comes up on my screen that the truck does not sense a tpms signal or words to that effect. I don’t think all four sensors would have failed at the same time. The camera works fine. Do I need to the activation sequence again for the new truck? I would have already tried but I dropped the trailer off for service already. Thanks
The frequency of the tpms Sensors has changed in the newer trucks. You’ll likely need to replace them.
The trailer TPMS is read over the 12-pin of the base trailer wiring harness, with the individual sensors being read by a dedicated module on the trailer. I don't know however if an older setup can be used or not on a newer truck - the current trailer TPMS kit says 23+ for compatibility, although I think I recall reading accounts here of people successfully saying their 17-22 kit worked...
The sensors and receiver are probably compatible, but you will need to retrain the sensors to the new truck, either by letting air out or by using a training tool. The tool is much quicker and easier. If you have the YAW sensor for the Pro Trailer backup assist you will also need to recalibrate it to the new truck.

you are correct. My point was that the older sensors in the wheel won’t work with 23+ due to the change in frequency.
My 2023 trailer sensors worked fine for a 3 hour trip home. When I went to return the trailer to storage the truck wouldn’t sense the module or sensors. Checked bed connection, fine…..module connection, fine.
Restarted the truck and everything worked as normal. Weird.
Not sure about the 17 & 18s, but the sensors that came with my 19 are still in my trailer and work perfectly fine with my 23. I even get temps too.
Thanks for the replies. I ordered new sensors but will try to retrain old sensors before picking up the new ones. I would think the ‘17, ‘18, & ‘19 model years would be the same. Surprised the temperature showed up using the old sensors.

I upgraded from a 2019 limited to a 2024 and I can not figure out how to get the temp... I've already changed the tire sensors to the latest version but still no temp.
The TPMS sensors in the trailer wheels still talk to the same receiver as they did with the older truck. So I doubt the frequency changed in the trailer tire. And once the TPMS readings are in the receiver, they are transmitted to the truck via the 12pin connector, So frequency no longer matters at that point. Yes the frequency changed in the truck tires. But they talk to a different receiver.
The Trailer TPMS setup I installed on my trailers back in 2020 works great with my 23 truck. In fact the Tire Temperature showed up on the 23 which was not visiable on the 2020 truck.

ok, got my trailer hooked up yesterday & tried to find the trailer tpms training procedure. Failed miserably! Looked in the 2025 owners manual I downloaded & nothing on trailer tpms. Looked in the owners manual on the display in the truck & thought I found it but it didn’t work & in retrospect it probably wasn’t the correct procedure because there were no prompts asking for the number of trailer axles, maximum tire pressure, etc. Googled & YouTubed it & only found info on the ‘17-‘22 model years. Can someone please show me the sequence thru screenshots or whatever of the screens you go thru to train the trailer tire pressure sensors? Thanks

See post #76 HERE for procedure on how to manually program each sensor. If you get the "Autel TS508WF" device, it automates the process.

Thanks for the reply but I am looking for Trailer TPMS Sensor training. The link was to training the sensors in the truck tires which I already have done. Yes I have the device which does make it a lot easier.
