7000# GVWR package

Does anyone know what this package is about ?

It means your truck weight plus cargo can weigh a maximum of 7000#.
I believe it is the regular duty, not heavy duty payload package.

You probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of 1600-1800 pound payload per the yellow/white sticker on your door.jamb.

Post the door sticker and if you have it, the window sticker, and we can tell you more. What year of truck?

On my 2020, the 7000# package is the highest payload package I could get with crew cab short bed 4x4 302A pack. The true "heavy duty payload package" aka HDPP was only availible on certain confgurations, and was a higher GVWR than 7000#, but I don't remember what it was.
There are differences in frame and springs based on these packages. On mine, I have the max tow options which I think might change the frame or it might not I honestly forget.

2018 crew cab short bed 4x4 max tow package with 18" wheels. There is no HDPP on the window sticker. 501A equipment package. 3:55 locking rear axle. I wasn't sure if this was a HDPP.

It's not HDPP. I'm 95% sure that wasn't availible with Lariat crew short bed.
It's probably max tow, maybe. Eitehr way, great spec.

No HDPP with the 145” wheelbase, or shorter. Max Tow can be be found on those trucks though. Only SuperCrew 6.5’ bed, and SuperCab 8’ beds will have that package, and maybe regular cab 8’ beds. And, not all trucks configured that way will have it.

Would this be the heaviest 150 outside of the HDPP ? I'm looking to order again. This truck is Max Tow built also IIRC the 18" wheels increased carrying capacity. Also 3.5 eco boost.
