Cannot open rear door

I have a 2013 F-150 quad cab that the driver's rear door will not unlock. It seems you can't pull up on the door look **** or pull the interior handle to unlock the door. Is this because you can't overcome the resistance in the lock actuator? I think I have a wiring harness problem as I have been getting random "Left rear door open" messages. The manual buttons on the front door panels and the remote will lock and unlock all other doors. As it sits now, the parking lights and bed light come on intermittently with all doors closed and not locked. Alarm sounds if the doors are locked. Both probably because the truck thinks a door is open. Is it possible to remove the door panel without opening the door? If I can get to the lock mechanism and get the door open I can tackle the wiring harness.

I don’t think it’s possible with the door closed. Grab a pair of pliers and pull up on the little black lock indicator piece. Pull straight up on it, just keep in mind you might break that piece as it’s only plastic. I broke mine, but thankfully the door unlocked in the process. Maybe somebody else has a better solution they can share
