I think this is my first post. I want to perform the brake fluid flush maintenance on my 2020 Super Duty. I'm interested in doing this myself. I've done a search on this forum and came up empty on anything regarding tips/do's/don't on this subject. Any advice out there?
Thanks, Andrew
As already stated, a pressure bleeder makes things a breeze.
Notes I made when I did mine.
1. Start at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder.
2. Make sure you have enough brake fluid. I was surprised at just how much it required.
3. Get a piece of rubber brake hose to go over the bleed fitting and run that hose into a container in order to catch the old fluid.
4. I was able to tell when the new fluid had flushed through.
I bought a cheap($220) electric pressure bleeder going to do a car I'm selling this weekend, then my truck soon after.
I recommend getting a cheap scan tool like the OBDLink MX+ since it works with forscan too, (but any tool with bidirectional controls should be able to do it just check or make sure about the return policy)to put the ABS in service mode to flush the fluid in it too, it is an often overlooked part of the job by DIYer's. And both are handy tools to have, being able to easily bleed a brake system solo is very freeing and takes all the frustration out of the job, well if your bleeders aren't plugged solid or twist/round off.

Good luck.
This, DO NOT let the brake fluid reservoir suck air.
I need to do mine in the spring. I have a vacuum bleeder so it will be a quick job.
I have one of these for the dot 4 trucks and 1 for the dot 3 trucks.. Makes quick work of the flush process.. I suck out the master first. Then add fresh fluid then hook this up and flush it... The DOT 4 use a a screw on adaptor. The Dot 3 use a 3 tab adaptor. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Motiv...ng,487231.html
And be sure to use the right brake fluid. My ‘19 uses DOT4 LV and I imagine your ‘20 is the same. The LV part is particularly important if you operate in a cold weather area.

Don't allow the reservoir to empty while bleeding the brakes. While at the bleeder, use a piece of clear tubing submerged in brake fluid in an opaque plastic cup to catch the old fluid. It's easier with 3ppl. One operating the bleeder valve, one at the reservoir filling with approved fluid and a third to apply the brakes. Good luck. A vacuum bleeder is helpful.
I just flushed the brake fluid on my 2020 a couple of weeks ago. It was a simple process with one of these https://www.harborfreight.com/pneuma...kit-57057.html as mentioned above. I agree with all that has been said here but you don’t need to put the ABS in service mode. First suck the old fluid out of the reservoir. I didn’t figure out how to get the front of the reservoir fluid out. There wasn’t any access with the hose. It's not much fluid and I figured when I flushed the fluid through it would empty on its own. You will need 2 of the bigger bottles of brake fluid. One bottle only filled the reservoir after I pumped out the old fluid.
Thanks to all who replied. I found out a friend of mine has a pressure bleeder I can have. Its a Motive brand and it is new, never used as Amazon sent him the wrong one and Amazon told him to keep it and they would ship the correct bleeder. It happens to be the model for ford. There are YouTube video's on bleeding brakes. I'm going to get this done in the next couple weeks.
