F-7&8 Front Wheel Bearing Inner Grease Seal Retainer Removal?

The front brakes on my 52 F-7 were blowing fluid out the wheel cylinders so I tore into both front wheels. After removing the hub/drum assemblies I saw the felt seals to be in poor shape and decided I should probably replace those as well, especially since I am going to repack the wheel bearings with new grease. I found the kits for them online and ordered them. See pic below.

My question is, I can’t figure out how to get them off the spindles without tearing them up? I thought they simply slid on, but they appear to both be much tighter than I expected.

Has anyone had experience getting these successfully removed without tearing them up? I have avoided using a gear puller because I was afraid they would bend and distort. I started to heat them, but the seals are felt and impregnated in wheel bearing grease.

Thank you so much for any advice you can offer

You have to destroy them to get them off. I came up with a conventional seal to replace those ridiculous things.

Thank you so much, Chuck. That is what I was afraid of and why I stopped and asked the question before I tore them up with a puller or a blow torch. I’ll be calling you later.

Thanks again,

Keith
