Man, running a day behind! But, better late than never! Welcome to March, all! Looking forward to Spring's arrival. So, with that, lets get this party started!!
Good morning, everyone! Can't believe it's March already, February always seems so short...

Just wait until Daylight Savings next week and we can all feel like we're an hour behind for the next 8 or 9 months. As if I don't already have enough to be crabby about!
Morning 'Braska...Happy Hump Saturday!!! After 5" of white crap..50s today...then...up to 7" of white crap on Weekend Eve!!! Can someone slap MA Nature upside the head for me???
Good morning all, happy Hump Day! A bit gloomy here today, but at least its warmer. Going to hook up the tv, Bluetooth receiver, and speakers tonight in the shop, give that a test run.
Good morning, everyone! Nice and foggy out this morning. Gonna take the semi to the shop for some engine work this afternoon. They think they can get it running right again for about 4 grand...ouch... But, I can't keep running it like it is so I suppose I don't have a choice. I'm better off having it in the shop while I don't have any active jobs rather than it coming in on a wrecker while I'm in the middle of one though, I suppose.
Good afternoon all, happy Friday! Damn, that sucks, Kenny. Hopefully this is the last issue for a while. Got the beer fridge moved over to the shop yesterday (thanks to my boys!) and cleaned it up, looks brand new now. Still don't have the electrical done, my damn nephew bailed on me yesterday. Promised he'd be done Monday. This will the be the last job he does for me. Did give half the floor a good mopping last night, looks really nice clean. I'll do the other half tomorrow. Temps in the 70's here today, the False Spring #2...LOL
Good morning, everyone! Wild weather yesterday but looks like smooth sailing for a while. 70's this weekend? Youbetcha!
Yeah, that sucks with the truck right now but hopeful with a fresh tune on the engine, the fuel mileage will be better. Goodness knows I'll need all the help I can get that way. Have you guys been watching fuel prices? Diesel jumped almost a dollar most places in the matter of 2 or 3 days. Such nonsense.
That's no good about your electrical, Pat... but to be fair, I've never had good luck with electricians and that seems to be a common thread. I've talked to 4 or 5 different ones about updating my breaker panel in my house but nobody ever calls back. The only reason I got power out to my shop is because I got one neighbor who does commercial work to come do it. Even so, it took him several months to do a one or two day job. But, he never sent a bill either so..... I did the rest of the electrical myself after all of that.
Read through the threads to get caught up. Lots of stuff going on the last couple months. The shop looks good Pat. Kenny the 4g’s for the truck is barely a bill unfortunately on one of those, you might be lucky that’s all it is.
I’ve been swamped with work, perpetually behind since the promotion. I must be doing some good stuff though as they are adding more folks for me to manage. The biggest issue is our phone upgrade in December has gone not great and getting it in shape has been a time suck.
Between work and village board stuff I haven’t taken much time in the garage. I did finally manage to get that 4 wheeler fixed that was apart of the bobcat trade finished this week. Over new years I rebuilt the hydraulics and did some work to the Ford 8n.
This week in preparation of a big auction I was working on my golf cart and basically made it about the same or worse…. I also finally started tearing the bobcat down. The chain case in it looks like a real treat to take out.
Today was the Lincoln swap meet. When I got home I figured I’d start the 71 since it’s sat since November. Fired right up but I found where it had been leaking coolant into the intake, a common problem I’ve had but I was finally able to see the hose that was doing it. So I brought it up front and cleaned that up and tightened a couple heater hoses then decided to fix the blinkers/brake wiring after the box swap.
The weather is nice. It’s great to have the garage doors open and getting some fresh air and sun.
Hitting up the saline center auction next weekend. I usually bring something stupid home. 2 years ago was my kayak trailer… Chain case in the bobcat. All of it comes out.
Good morning all, hope you set you clocks this weekend! Hate getting up an hour early, it will take me a week to get back into sync. Mopped out the shop this weekend, floor looks really good. Now, just have to hope my nephew shows up today to finish, so I can start moving in! Another beautiful day here in the 70's!
I was wondering where you were at, TC. That Bobcat does not look like fun. What do you have to do to the chain case?
I'm right with you on the time change thing, Pat. It used to just be a minor inconvenience but after having kids it's just complete stupidity. They seriously need to end it. I'll be lucky if the kids adjust in a week but it usually takes longer.
Spend most of yesterday scooping up corn stalks that blew into my yard from the field across the street. I hauled off 8 pickup loads and I'm not done yet. I bet there's still another 4 or 5 on the ground by the time I get to all of the little piles everywhere. I suppose I'll work on that this afternoon. I get to take Mom's dog in for vaccinations in about an hour... Gonna be a great day!
Good morning 'Braska...Happy Saturday #2!!! Gonna be a splendiferous day here...mid to upper 70s with abundant sunshine. Hope MA Nature continues to treat you well!!!
Good morning all, happy Tuesday! Ken, enjoy that weather we sent you. Won't be quite as warm today, around 60 or so. But, good news, shop has complete electrical now. Should get final inspection tomorrow, then I can call the building done. Still have some landscaping to do around it, but that's not a big deal. I can start move in Wednesday night. Tired today, usually the second and third day of this stupid time change screws me up.
Pat...the weather reached us and it was great...70* with lots of sunshine. Only a 1 day appearance though...we MIGHT hit 50* today with some stormage moving in.
Now that the beer fridge has found a new home...when does the '67 move in???
Good morning all, happy Hump Day! I don't know who ordered this white crap that fell this morning, but we need to talk.... Won't last long, near 50 later. Ken, should get the inspection done today on the electrical, then it's time to move it. I'll get the tools in first, the 67 will probably go in this weekend, or early next week. I'll post a pic of her in her new home!
