Good morning, everyone! Cold start again. I've got things to do in/around the house today but I think I'm going to go work on my shop some instead. Gonna go help a farmer buddy haul some corn tomorrow and probably for the rest of the week. The only question is if I want to use my semi or drive his... for reference, his is an 87(?) Freightliner cabover. I'm well acquainted with the truck but it's not as comfortable as mine is...

 

Good afternoon all! Another cruddy day here, was supposed to get to 40, won't even get close, about 25 here now and light white crap coming down. Talking 88 for Saturday, though. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Going to attempt to get the compressor moved into the shop tomorrow, we'll see how that goes. That's the last big thing to go into the shop. Thinking about getting an air distribution system from Eastwood, to give it that nice clean look.

 

Good morning, everyone! Shaping up to be a nice day and a great rest of the week, weather wise.

I kicked around the idea of an air system in my shop but that'll be a later on kind of thing for me. I've at least got all plywood walls so putting one in someday won't be that difficult. For now, I'm just trying to get my walls done then I'll get all my tools/assorted junk moved from the house garage to the shop. That'll be so nice to have everything put away and organized! June will mark 3 years since I broke ground so...for me...that's making pretty good time!

 

Good afternoon all, happy Hump Day! And what a glorious day it's turned out to be, currently sunny and 75! Had to get creative moving my compressor out of the garage to the shop by myself. Put some 3/4 inch plywood on a couple of furniture dollies, then connected them together with a few pieces of 2x6. Worked out pretty well. Should have it bolted down and wired up maybe tomorrow. Ordering some shelving and wood/ pipe rack to mount on a wall also. That should cover the storage issues I have.

 

Oh, and we'll see if Nebraska can FINALLY win a tournament game tomorrow!

Good morning, everyone! Got another day of hauling corn for farmers teed up. I haven't looked at what the weather is supposed to do next week but I'm too caught up in how this week has turned out to care.

 

Good afternoon all, happy Thursday! A gloriously warm day, and..... THE HUSKERS FINALLY DID IT! Got their first ever NCAA tournament win! Just dominated, too! Awesome day for those guys! Got my cabinets in today, and went to Northern Tool to pick up some metal wall mount shelving. Also ordered an air line system from Eastwood, hate having air hose all over the place. This will be nice, having 6 drops in the shop.

Good morning, everyone! Strange to say but it's going to be a hot one out there. My daughter turns 4 today so we're kinda slacking off with that at the moment. My wife's niece has a confirmation tomorrow too so that'll take up at least half the day. I need to carve out some time to work on my semi. We supposedly have chicken litter to haul on Monday. Luckily, the guy that is allegedly in charge is awful at communication. From my experience with the guy, he tends to take a "let the inmates run the prison" type of leadership style. I don't care for that but if it's paying then I'll tolerate it.

Are there any predictions for tonight's game? I think it's going to be a tough win but nobody promised us an easy trip.

Good morning all, welcome back from the weekend! Man, Nebraska in the Sweet 16! I'm digging it! Got a ton of work done in the shop this weekend. New cabinets, shelves, and wood rack installed. Need to get the compressor bolted down and wired tonight. My kids are there today, starting the landscaping on the west side, they are going to build a wall, and cover that side in rock. One more area I won't have to mow!LOL

What hellacious Sunday that was a week ago. Like idiots we went to a huge consignment sale in the wind and cold. I bought one thing but a friend bought a little Cub Lowboy tractor that made the trek home on my trailer. Conveniently he said just take it home and adjust the clutch and go over it once for me. I did that and dropped it off yesterday. As part of the trip down to the sale I picked up my friends golf carts to take down and he sent home with me an old beat-up ezgo he never did anything with. My wife said NO immediately so of course I tried to give it back and he won't take it so it's listed on Facebook now. I also scored a couple other Big Iron auction lots, one for a JD garden tractor that I can steal the motor off of for one I have and then I paid a measly dollar for a nice 3 point scoop for the 8n.

The worst part of the last few weeks has been mice. We got mice in the garage 2 weeks ago and I finally got fed up and fed them poison. Within 2 days the garage stunk so bad I was puking. I had to tear the whole place apart and clean it only to find 2 had gone under the fridge so had a fan and heat blowing on them. No signs now for nearly a week, thank god they are gone.

In 2 weeks up in Columbus is a huge auction with a bunch of old bumpsides. There's one truck in particular that may have some decent trim for my truck so I think I'll head up that way on the 4th.
