A 1950 milk truck is for sale. Can anyone confirm that this came from the factory or did a welder get creative?
Any thoughts/discussion about this truck?
Cheers, Rex
It is a real commercially built delivery truck. Ford produced what they called a cowl and chassis model for this purpose, as opposed to the common cab and chassis. Delivery trucks and buses started life as a cowl and chassis, then went to custom body builders for completion. Here's an old picture of a line of F6 trucks waiting for delivery, and it includes a cowl and chassis school bus start. It's the yellow one, btw. Some topless fire trucks and others started life on a similar type called windshield and chassis.
