The dash has an aftermarket radio in it that turns on and off infrequently and both speaks are disintegrating as we speak. I have heard of people going to a junk yard and stealing all the speaks out of different truck is this something I should consider?
Im having issues with the main gas tank the gauge reads zero even when I know there's fuel other tanks the gauge works fine. Note sure what to might be wrong any help would be appreciated.
Just go to Walmart and get some 5 1/4" speakers and put them in the doors. Put some sort of tape or something on the top part of the speaker to try and shed the water that leaks into the door off the speaker.
On the fuel gauge, 99% of the time the sending unit is worn out. I do not know what type or year of truck you have and what engine you have, there are many different types of sending units, and some are hard to find.
For the speaker if you dont want to use tape that may fall off with time they make speaker cones or boxes that fit around the back side of the speaker to do what the tape would do but will not fail in time.
They also make the spearkers sound better as the sound goes out the front and not the back.
I Googled and got this https://www.google.com/search?q=car+...t=gws-wiz-serp
To tell the truth I did not use them on my door speakers but I did add 2 strips of peel & stick to the outer door skin to stop the drum sound you would get when the speakers sound goes to the door skin.
It does help the speakers sound better and when you close the door it also sounds more solid. You can get the peel & stick from the big box hardware stores, thats where I got mine in the roofing section.

I have a 84 f350 crewcab xlt with a 7.5l 460 gas
for the gas issue any help on finding the correct sending unit would be great I've been looking and can't find the specific one.
Is this a pickup truck or a CC truck?
I would think if pickup it would take the normal style side 19 gallon front or rear (different senders) tanks.
Thing is motor driven fuel pump or in tank pump?
Do you know the size of the sender hole, small or large?

Should have known it would not be simple and you would have a 460. Answer the questions in the previous post, they used several different kinds. C&C means cab and chassis truck. So if you have a flatbed, there is a chance you have a C&C truck. If you have a old uhaul or a dump truck or something like that, you do have a Chassis/Cab truck. They have different tanks.
