Just got back from ordering my new toy! 4x4, SC, LB, Auto, 4.30's. Dealer says due to the Dearborn(?) plant shut down for the holidays it will probably be mid February before I see the truck. Gonna be a long wait!!! I've been what I believe somebody called a "troll" on this forum for the last month or so. Seems so much info is posted here I didn't need to ask the same questions. I think I've read everything at least twice. Thanks to everybody here, you've really helped with the decision making process. Don't worry I won't ask the MPG question or any other that's been beat to death. Besides this thing has got to get better than the 8.5-9 I'm getting with my current '91 F-250, 4x4, XLT, 5.8, C-6, 4.10s. If not, who cares, the extra ponies under the hood is worth it.
Guess I am a lurker. Congrats on your new late Christmas present. I haven't ordered my F-250 4x4 V-10 yet, plan on doing so in May, but I would have to compliment this site also. I have found an answer to almost any quetion I have come up with, and if I didn't find it when I posted my question I got a quick answer. It has made it so darn easy I now know exactly what I will order in May. Thanks everyone, you are without a doubt, Da Man....Erich
Dearborn, the dealer just told me that the Ford facility in Dearborn shuts down for the holidays so it would delay delivery of the truck a little. He said normal delivery was 6-8 weeks, sometimes a liitle sooner, but with the holiday shut down it would be 8-10 weeks. Can't wait to get it. My wife alwalys said it was hard getting me out of our boat and back into the truck to go home. I guess now I'll have a hard time getting out of the truck and into the boat! Like she has room to talk. She's already calling the truck hers and I can't go fishing without her! Wouldn't be so bad if she didn't wear me out most of the time. Everytime I catch a good redfish or juvenal tarpon she has to catch a larger one. Maybe I'll just put her out in the boat and go ridin' in the truck.
Tankhead, you and I have almost the exact same setup. Did the throttle body spacer do any good? Does it work well with the BBK 62mm? I have the headers, air sensor, and a diablo, but what's with the 2x4 chip thing you are talking about? Camo4stealth

I highly doubt I got anything out of it. But I'm so happy w/ erverything "overall" I'm not gonna take it out. It's a 2-stage, stock and custom, and 4-bank allowing it to work should the PCM get reflashed by the dealer. I don't use the stock position at all. Get nothing out of it anyways since I'm manual. And it could produce lean conditions due to all the engine mods. Save your money on the TBS!
Congrats on your truck! I've got an 01 Platinum edition V10 CC SB 4x4 w/47000 miles and love it. Not a lick of trouble so far. Enjoy yours when you get it.
