I am not sure of the hp ratings as i am looking into that cam myself. I was just curious as to whether you could use stock rockers or if you have to use the adjustable rockers. I to have heard good things of this cam and am anxious to get started.
i really dont know what makes them so much better than others i just here they work great in FE's, i have one on the way for my 390 so ill see how much better it is than stock.
It pulls a good distance in the RPMs
From like 1200 on up to around 6k
I love mine
Sounds good, runs good, and still can use stock rockers
I picked up a bunch with the cam
But I changed to headers, 4 barrel stock manifold and a 750 when I did this
35 to 45 horsepower over stock isn't bad.
I added maybe 100 tops out of mine
With the 2 to 4 barrel manifold swap,
Headers, Cam, Better heads (ported etc) and a 750 holley
The stock 390 cam is very small. The 901 should add both low end torque and at least 45HP. Your valves will open faster, farther and stay open just a little longer.
