Sign up for Mustang Club or EAA and get X plan pricing, an F350 STX CCLB with 7.3 should run closer to 57k than 60.5k. My RCLB with same engine, FX4, a few options and 4.30 was 56.5k after X plan and MSRP is 1k less than a standard CCLB 350 STX with 7.3.

Msrp is $61905 for a F350 CCLB STX with a 7.3 and not a single option. Xplan would be around $58500. Basically after options $60,500 is $1k below invoice/xplan. This is the build sheet but it's missing a $250 option.

There is a retail cash of 1k available right now. There's bound to be a CCLB 7.3 available somewhere near you if you drive a bit.

I have been calling dealers locally and so far the best deal I can get is $60,500 and that's for an F350 STX with 7.3/4.30s. I called a dealer about 7 hours away about some trucks they have in stock and I offered less and they came back with $64500 for a '26 F350 STX with a 6.7. It's missing 3 options (Remote start, wheel well liners, and running boards) but I can add 2 of those options later. If the difference between a 7.3 and 6.7 was $10k I would never consider it. A difference of $4k really has me contemplating making the purchase instead of waiting for an ordered truck.

Would you guys considering jumping up to a 6.7 or staying with a 7.3?

I'm familiar with issues with both trucks.

Thanks!
Sounds like you prefer the 7.3, but now considering the diesel because of the price incentive. I'd say keep looking for a good deal on a 7.3. If you can find the one you want for the right deal, then it's a win-win.

I've looked pretty extensively every day and the closest thing I can find 6.5hrs away with less options than I want. There are a lot of trucks out there but they typically have a lot of options I have no desire to pay for like 5th wheel prep, XL driver assist, power sliding rear window, FX4 package, and 360 degree camera. I can bump up to an XLT without premium package and get exactly what I want tomorrow except I would like LED headlights.

Had 4 diesels and don’t miss diesel fuel quality anxiety, adding shots of treatment to the tank, the extra oil, DEF, and fuel filters. These days add the cost of 1 gal of diesel.

I do miss an exhaust brake, diesel range, and devil oil power!

My gas truck is dumb and just runs. I would go gas for sanity. Good luck.

Unless I had a use for the diesel that the 7.3 just could not do, I would avoid the expense and trouble that the diesel brings. DEF, more difficulty finding fuel stations, the need to open 'er up at high speed every so often to blow it out, much higher maintenance costs, No Thank You.

Holds true for either gas or diesel once you get off the highway a bit especially in smaller towns.

But, at least every station sells gasoline. Not every station sells diesel fuel.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but for the amount of money (and assuming there's no hurry), buy exactly what you want.

This is what I ultimately did. I could not find anywhere that had a truck with the specs I wanted. I only wanted a few options on my Lariat, and the Tremor package. I didn't want the Ultimate package, I didn't want the sunroof, but I did want the fifth wheel prep and the BOP, and because I travel a LOT I wanted the extra mileage a diesel would net over the 7.3. Searched for a few (many) months for it before I finally decides to just sit down and order what I wanted. I was not in any hurry to get it so the wait time was no issue. And it kinda sounds like OP isn't exactly in a hurry either, they just don't want to miss out on a good deal.

Near me, they put the diesel pumps on the end of the row of pumps at least.
Not as good as larger stations off highway, but much better than trying to get between pumps
