Thanks for thinking about Sherry.

We've got a 1:00 pm orthopedic appointment for tomorrow. l sure wish they could have gotten her in today but it is what it is.

I'm NOT glad that Sherry is hurt but I am thankful for the opportunity to do something for her. She does so much more for me than I can ever do for her that I'm perpetually feeling guilty about that imbalance. When we went to bed last night I implored her to wake me up if she had to pee in the middle of the night. That would have let me help her out of and into the bed. That's one of the worst struggles she's having right now. Our bed has one of those super tall mattresses on it and she has to use a step stool to get into bed normally. I had to help her into bed last night. Well folks; ya know how stubborn some women can be. She was up and back to bed once last night and I never knew it 'til she told me this morning.

The pain pills are helping her a lot. I've finally got her convinced that it's ok to take them. She's terrified of getting addicted to pain pills. Her mother (rip) had 7 back surgeries and was addicted to pain meds for a long time and Sherry doesn't want to get into that condition.

It's about time I visited Clarence again. When I do I'll report back about him.

Our Model A hasn't been started for several months. The weatherman says it might be possible to drive it to the Model A club meeting Thursday evening. We'll see. If not this month I'll probably be able to drive it to next month's meeting.

Right now it's 36° outside. I hope that the weatherman is right about being quite a bit warmer by Thursday. He says it's going to be 78° on Friday. Yahoooo.

I'm back to pay the bills for the month, then head back out. While I'm here I switched our home owners and auto insurance back to USAA. Here's the post I put up on FB.

Funny story for the day:
Our home owner's insurance spiked $500 / month, so we went back to USAA. (since I'm a vet.) We had a side conversation about the monster trucks as the reason I'm not home very much. Later in the conversation she says they offer additional coverages that were extra. I asked her to go through them and one of them really didn't register at first.
"We offer coverage against Earthquake." ...which was exactly how she worded it. I thought to myself, Gee, that's really specific. ...but I don't think the big guy would get away from me, especially if he's in his trailer most of the time.
...then it hit me. Earthquake(S) as in the actual natural disaster. ...yeah, I'm an idiot. We don't get those here. We don't need it.

Well with the nice rain free weather the "Pool room/shed" guy got all the ground work done/lower frame and floor done. I came home at 3 and helped him stand up TWO of the completly done (meaning framed w/exterior siding on and one window installed) exterior walls.

He should get the other 2 walls 3 windows and a door should also be done tomorrow and I think the roof metal is coming in tomorrow too. Rain please hold off till it is dried in.

SIL is coming up this Sunday to install my shops mini split. I worked 8 hrs trying to finish up skinning the new freezer/fridge trailer. Spray foam is getting done tomorrow afternoon to it.

I noticed FTE or Internetbrands is having issues today. A bunch of the regular forums are not showing up.

Morning All,
At the wrist Dr this morning. Then I’m giving blood. Will be a busy morning. Had to cut the dog walk short to make it here to sit and wait.

Well the pool room/shed has front and back stud walls done. 2 rafters are up and the front wall has siding and both windows. Stay away rain...I worked an 8 hrs shift trying to finish the trailer skinning job, the spray foam guy was prepping his set up. I almost got my part done.....

Then the GIC (Good Idea Committee AKA Boss) stopped by with a bunch of "good ideas" to add to the trailer. So bottom line NO spray foam was done today. But I drilled and punched a metric ton of rivets. And would of got my all of my part done, if not for the late to the party "good ideas" I had to add.

Evening all"
Rich what is this freezer trailer about? Customer? Can't wait to see the pool shed! Took daughter to financial planner today. She's a good veterinarian but that's where it ends. Momma and I are making a quick trip to the lake tomorrow. Like Rich, hope the rain holds off a bit. God Bless our troops

Evening all.

It's been a rough couple of weeks for me. Fortunately, it looks like a Parkinson's medication tweak is going to make things better for the time being. I had defensive tactics training for the first time in a long time yesterday and it was an eye opener as the amount of motor control and balance I've lost to the Parkinson's was on full display yesterday. Good thing I was paired up with a coworker who was great about it.

In other news, I discovered JustBid.com last week and have a new online auction distraction to manage. They operate an auction site for Amazon returns that you then have to pick up at their warehouses near Amazon distribution centers on the dates specified on the item listing. There are only 2 locations outside of California and they're both in Missouri - Brookline & Kansas City. My biggest score so far is a precision miter gauge for the table saw that normally runs in the mid $200 range for $50 that has never been out of its box. I've already placed myself on a browsing limit of a few days before we plan on going to Springfield on a Saturday because if I didn't we'd be down there all the time. I've got a few things to pick up Saturday and then I'll have to not look at it for a month or so.

To be fair - there are some things I would never buy from this sort of thing because the odds of something being defective are pretty high, but with common sense and a fair amount of skepticism there are some deals to be found.

Y'all take care!

Evening Everyone!

Well, home for a day, then back out. I managed to get all the bills paid, I got a hair cut, our insurance switched over to USAA, a bumper built and some hand rails for Clever school district bent up. (a friend of mine works for a fence company and I'm the only one he knows with a tubing bender) Anyway, no dentside time this trip, but I can't wait to get back on the new shop truck when tour ends. The ride truck is coming along, too. I got the engine, trans and drop box mounted before I came home. Another month and we should be able to take it out for a shake down test before we blow it apart for paint and powder coat. This would be my fastest build yet at two months from start to finish, but we'll see if I can pull it off.
