I'm having a valve spring replaced and I'm wondering if any of the unfortunate few that has had this happen if they had more failures latter on. I'm at 98K mile and wonder if they should all be replaced.
I replaced mine (I replaced only the broken one - I have a thread on it IIRC) and have had no more failures. Been a little over a year and a half. BUT, I don't drive it daily. IMO, I wouldn't worry but if you are worried, whatever bank is open just have that whole side replaced. The springs aren't that expensive and the rocker shaft has to be removed anyway (you could replace only that particular set on that bank).
I think it was related to a batch of bad springs due to metal quality issues. So, my thoughts in my instance are the bad spring with the bad metal issue broke and the others are okay, as they haven't broken and my truck has more miles on it since I replaced it.

I have a left side gasket left over from the set the shop bought or should I say I bought . I'm just want to have enough stuff on hand to replace a spring if needed when we are on the e road. Thanks for the help.

Receiver the parts all Ford parts, retainers and keepers made on USA but the springs are made in Mexico . When I get home the other 15 will be replaced sometime this summer.

IMO, as long as the parts are legitimate FORD parts, you are golden! Looking to hear about the final 15 replacements.
It's going to be awhile because we are in Yuma and won't get home until the end of April. I'm thinking sometime in June, I don't need the truck in the summer just in the winter to pull our trailer.
