Back when The Pate Swap meet was still in Pate, Tx I loved going there.

I never did the south route for swap meets, instead I focused in the north east, Mostly Carlisle PA and Englishtown NJ.
but with the advent of Facebook marketplace and Craigslist, swapmeets are nothing like they used to be.

 

The internet messed a lot of stuff up. People don't meet up anymore. I have a bunch of stuff
that isn't worth driving to meet for. Taking a truckload to a swap meet would work out great.
Not to mention stuff too big to ship. Rear axle assy for a 1965 F100 complete. lol
It's time for folks to get out and meet again. Compare notes as it were.

Same here. Quite a bit of stuff I want to sell, but I stopped going to swap meets for the same reason I quit going to gun shows...they've turned into mini craft shows. Crocheted crap and scented candles have no business at these shows, but the promoters don't care because they make money on selling table space either way.

 

Time to get it going again, we need a car guy with land to allow a swap meet. I have not been to a gun show in decades.
That give me an idea, gun and auto parts swap meet. lol
