I’m installing new tires on my truck which has alloy wheels from a 2025 super duty. I have four new TPMS sensors TPMS 42. Looking at the sensors, I see a clear or translucent plastic cap with a hole in it. Does this cap remain on the sensor or do you remove it when installing the sensor?
thanks
R
Went to the tire shop and got my new tires. Sensors were installed no extra charge. The translucent plastic bit stays on. And the annoying TPMS light on the dash is gone. Plus the Michelin Agilis Crossclimate tires ride like a dream and are quiet. Three mountain snowflake rated as well. These tires will see s sand, rocks and ice and I think they’ll be perfect for my needs.

We don’t do mud or deep snow so no need for a gnarly tread.
