Crank no start solution

2013 f150 5.0. Cranks, doesn't start. I swapped fuse 27 and fuel pump relay with no change.

Ended up doing research and found out about the fuel pump control module. If it gets wet it stops working, so it is conveniently located above the rear axle.

duralast module 20987 $74 at autozone. Unplug old one, plug in new one. Truck started right up.

I know this is an issue that has already been discussed, but I wanted to put out some info to hopefully save someone else from this headache.

That's a bit of an overstatement. The early ones had an aluminum body, bolted to a steel frame member. This caused corrosion. It was NOT just a matter of getting wet.

I just bought one for my 2011 and in my shopping, all of them I found have a plastic body.

If it fixed your truck, great job! These arent nearly as common an issue as the GEN 11 trucks but they still can fail.
