I have a 2000 Ford Excursion 4X4 Limited with the V10 motor. My rear back up sensors are not working. I have replaced all 4 sensors (now discontinued) with sensors that other people (here) said worked on their excursions and I have replaced the speaker as well. My light on the dash switch seems to be functioning properly as it stays on indicating a problem with the system. I've inspected the wire harness, and it appears to be in good shape, which leaves only the control module is question. It's located in the passenger side rear compartment behind the rear fan motor, model number; YC3T-15K866-AB. Can this be tested with a multi meter? Is there any replacement module that can be substituted? Any suggestions other than install a rear camera. Am I on the right track suspecting this as the problem? Rear Sensor control module
First run FORScan as the PAM is on the network, see what faults are present. I added park assist to my X a few years back and got a few avail parts from Ford at the time. I completed the partial wiring left by Ford as my XLT did not have this option. I did have to source a used speaker, and module. When I hoked everything up I had several faults and the system did not work. I found that the module connector had corrosion interfering with the sensor grounds, and speaker. Using the shop manual I was able to get things sorted out.
Maybe my troubleshooting in the below thread will help.
