I have a 1984 C8000 firetruck body. It has a 175 inch wheelbase. The driveshaft is a two piece supported by a cast iron fire pump. This pump is in the way of putting on a flatbed and has to be deleted. I will beed to replace the driveshafts as the pump creates a gap of 17 inches to which the shaft flanges bolt up to. I believe it will be far cheaper to find a donor driveshaft from a junkyard than have one manufactured.
It would help me out immensely if I could get the OEM HD Truck (C series or L series) frame measurement drawing/diagram that states where the OEM center bering crossmember is located (I have this from my F800) as well as the length
s and part numbers for the shafts on the C8000 175" WB.
If anyone here has guidance it would be appreciated.
