NEW HERE, project

Well I have had my dad's 73 f100 4x4 Custom 390, he has now passed and settling the estate. By summer I will have some money to finally restore and upgrade the old gal. I don't know what the budget it is so I am asking for help figuring this out.

It is rusty and old, motor runs, I have a rebuilt rock auto carb to go on it so it moves. I have a 2 car garage but not really tools or a lot of space to do anything. I know basic basic autos and I have worked in auto body shop sanding and minor painting as a grunt. I am looming to find parts trucks and projects I can canibalize. Im looking for local Omaha guys that got some knowledge, some sills some parts to to help me get this going. My two oldest kids are fighting over grandpas old truck and I want to enjoy the time and be able to take it out reliable for a weekend or a nice day. I need an estimate from a shop or two or realistic costs to have it better than new restomoded. (disk brakes, new interior, FI stroker. modern electronics), but mostly stock looking plain no chrome Custom in Limestone Green Metallic.
So if anyone has Personal experience, had work done at a shop (that wont rip me off or take every dollar), I can do leg work, myself and go on parts runs etc. I know a LOT in my head about fords and old ford trucks but no real experience. I estimated to my wife 30-40k ish would get me something. If I needed to stop and fine tune the last 10% at a slower pace in a few years that's ok. I just want to see this vision be completed. Thanks so much.

Body shop, machine?

The dealership it came from in 74 has a great body guy who has a 76 who agreed to take on bodywork. I'm asking in Omaha area or Midwest enough, looking for a competent Ford FE builder that won't break me. Anyone got suggestions? The 410 works I'd like to see it a 445 with FI and a serpentine setup. But have mostly stock appearance otherwise.
