Bench testing DEF injector and pump
Bench testing DEF injector and pump
Morning crew,
I know this is not a Dodge forum, but that does not always mean there isn't someone here who can tell me what I need to know. We have a 2022 Ram with the Cummins diesel. Last August a local Dodge dealer replaced the def pump and the injector. At that time they said there was dirt contamination that caused the failures. They cleaned and flushed the lines. Move forward to Last month, January, and the truck is de-rating because of DEF issues. The dealer again said the pump and injector was bad because of dirt contamination. The replaced the same parts again. AND, wanted to charge us another 5k for the second repair. It turned into a pissing match and now attorneys are involved (LOL).
On with my question. Do any of you know how to bench test these components to see if they really are bad? Or how to check why they failed? Thanks, Bruce
