This is going to sound dumb but I was boosted that I could get out today with the pressure washer and wash the salt off the truck. Didn't have time for a full wash, but its amazing what even a thorough rinse can do to boost your mood. I know it's dumb but seeing the salt on it was killing my. Its the small wins I guess.
Soooo glad we don't have too much salt or brine on the streets in TX, maybe in the panhandle, but not DFW, Houston, Austin, or San Antone. Funny how a clean truck feels like it drives better...

Totally agree, its like it feels better. I think that sometimes my truck has a personality of its own.
I am the same way with my truck. I got home from work last Friday afternoon and took a pressure washer to her to get the majority of the salt/road grime off of her. I have an under carriage attachment for the pressure washer so I thoroughly pressure washed the underside too. I didn't do a full wash either, but, like you, I felt so much better seeing the Rapid Red "come back to life" after just a good spray down.

Not dumb at all. I cringe at the sight of salt on my vehicles. Leaving it salty and dirty to corrode is what's dumb.
I did the same thing, it was in the mid-50's yesterday so I broke out the pressure washer and gave the truck a full wash with actual soap. Even did some fluid film touch ups.
Usually I try to rinse it off in the garage after driving around when it's salty but that doesn't do anything for the dirt and grime.
Back in the day when I was in high school, our two car washes were froze up all Winter of course. I had a nice Nova SS at the time and thankfully I worked the tire and wash bay at a local trucking company. I washed my car every day, all Winter. I'm like you, gratifying to wash that crap off, salt sucks on vehicles.
I don't drive my truck a ton lately due to having a better MPG daily driver. But I did manage to get the truck to my subscription car wash yesterday and at least get a layer or 2 of salt off. Not sure whether it does any good but I also had them add the SaltX treatment for a few bucks more. We've been in a deep freeze lately with highs in the single digits and lows well below zero. Finally got a day near 30 yesterday so I took advantage.
At least the AntiMatter Blue doesn't look white at the moment.

Can anyone make a recommendation on an under carriage wand?
I see quality and price all over the place on Uncle Jeff's website.
I have been looking at them for years and cannot decide if they are all junk or if there are some actual quality options in the mix. No car washes near me fit a dually and in NE Ohio we use salt on the roads like it is going out of style.

You don't need to tell me about the salt, catch my username.....
I haven't looked for a car wash, would rather rinse off in my driveway vs risk scratching the crap out of the body.
I have a pressure washer in my garage plumbed right into my water heater. Quick deployment to rinse off the truck weekly, or daily depending on weather.
And like you, can't decide on what is quality or not. I would prefer 2 or 3 nozzles just to help with the velocity/pressure of my pump.
I use the Adam's Polishes under carriage sprayer. It's got 4 spray nozzles that are 65°. I think it's great quality. It's a little pricey but Adam's has sales just about every month.

I was not observant enough 😜
I like to use touchless washes that also do undercarriage spraying to get the salt off - there are quite a few in my town, and even though this is an area with a lot of DRW diesels there is not a single one that can accommodate them.
