That’s an interesting take. I understand something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. But that’s taking on the burden of the buyer recovering that value to the seller. Is it really worth that much? Probably not. But some sucker who REALLYYYYYY wants it is silly enough to buy it. 🤷♂️ I think it equates status symbol still.

3 or 4 years ago the wife and I were putting out hay in the old '96 F250 gasser and the **** wouldn't turn to heat and then a trim piece fell off the dash. I ask her if she could imagine the money it would take to get it back in tip top shape and keep it there? She shook her head and said good thing we're not going to try. Well I started on it 6 months ago and it's costing me. This truck was already nice the parts just get old and need replaced. It's a fun project though.
