Rear defroster
Is it normal for the rear defroster to come on every time I start my truck? Right now it is 33° outside, sunny, but every time I start my truck the rear defroster automatically comes on. Had a Ford technician stop by to replace my power mirror and told him about the rear defroster coming on and the heated seats not coming on with remote start. He said I don't see anything wrong, I don't have an explanation

If i remote start my rear defrost will come on. As well as driver heated seat. Im glad the rear defrost comes on cause that's the only time the mirror defrost comes on also. I don't really care about the rear windows but my mirrors i do. Not sure why they went that direction with them. My 06 always had the mirror defrost on which i preferred. Took me a while to figure that out when driving in the rain a few times that I had to turn the rear defrost on. If I just start the truck with my key though no defrost comes on.
