Got back from dune trip months back and truck ran great. Went and started it up and no pedal! Dash light did come on on way home but know problems. Don't have scan gauge anymore so ordered TPS, Hope that works? When first start up nothing. When warm up goes to 2400 rpm no higher. It isn't that cold here, Been in 70's last couple days. what say you all? Chet
I came across a thread on a different forum about a pedal issue. It was recommended to use contact cleaner on the microswitch and possibly connections. Not sure if this would apply in your situation but maybe worth mentioning. It did resolve that members issues...for the moment at least

I think I saw that too! But I ordered the TPS should be here tomorrow. Hope to install this weekend. I'll let all know when it is installed. Don't believe the other sensor is available and would clean then. At that point new assembly would be in order I guess.

I had the same issue with my truck a couple of years ago. Code stored for loss of signal from accelorator pedal. What I ended up doing was to buy new connectors for the plugs that attach to the accelorator pedal assembly and replace those with new. Carefully sanded the male pins in the pedal assembly to remove any corrosion at the contact points on the pins in the pedal assembly. All it takes is a little dot of corrosion in just the right place to make the impedence go off the chart. Did that, and along with the new connectors inside the housing the truck hasn't skipped a beat since.
So with your new pedal assembly, I'm going to recommend that you also replace the connectors inside the plug at the same time.

Thank you both! Kwikkordead, where do you get new connectors for these? Not the dealer do you? Chet
Haven't received my TPS yet, suppose to be here today but haven't heard.

At the time, I went to the dealer and got raked over the coals for a housing/connector replacement kit with the connectors already installed in the housing. There's two different styles of accelorator pedals between the earlier and later Superduty trucks, so I brought my pedal assembly with me to the counter and they looked up what was needed and we compared pictures on the screen to make sure that the kits ordered were compatable. One pedal has two plugs and the other pedal has one, so you have to make sure which one you are getting is correct.

Found that part number on www.rockauto.com. It looks like one of the plugs for the earlier style two-plug accelorator pedal. And I'm not finding ANYWHERE the part number for the other plug.
I also found on www.rockauto.com a 10 connector accelorator repair kit for a 2002 F250 that you can splice in, but it's part number S2038. That particular one won't work on the earlier versions like my truck is. It has the two-plug style of pedal assembly.
Right now it's two hours before dawn and I need to go out when it's light out to confirm for myself what I'm writing here, based on two or three year old memory now. So I may be back to change some of this information, LOL.
There's also the option of finding a universal repair kit that has the style of electrical connector included in the box of connectors. I don't know if the kit in this link provided has such connectors. It would require comparing what you have on the truck against the connectors listed in the kit. Going this route requires that you disassemble the plug assembly and replace each connector individually. It's not that hard of a job to do if you've done it before. If it's your first time through and your close up vision sucks, I wouldn't recommend this because you'll need to be able to see clearly how it's put together so you can release the connectors without damaging the housing. The advantage of going this route is you can save a lot of $$$, and also have a bunch of connectors available for future repair needs. https://www.walmart.com/ip/755PCS-Ca...ionGroupCode=1
