well its been raining most of the night and all day then it will be turning to snow later tonight with accumulations of around 6" so after i get off work a buddy and i are going to grab the trucks and go out for some serious playing. after this weekend i have picked out a new play spot. and with all the rain i think it could be a moderate to serious adventure. but we have our tow straps and cb's (cell phones probly wont work) and full tanks of gas and we are ready to rip and tear. so when i get home ill let everyone know how it went.
well it was pretty much a bust didnt even make it to the play site. after about dumping my truck over an overpass for an interstate not once but twice because it was nothing but a sheet of ice i decided to call the trip off. but still went out and cut some hellacious donuts. mud i like snow doesnt bother me but ice scares me just something about a lifted truck bridges and not stopping untill you hit something. just not my piece of pie. so yea wish me luck next time.
no red_rocket not snow ice. i dont care what you drive you can make it through snow but ice 4 wheel drive wont even help you. but i went out last night and plowed through some snow drifts and plowed snow at the mall....yea of all places the mall but hey they had the biggest drift and snow banks.
Watch out for snow drifts. Two winters ago a buddy of mine decided to go tear through some drifts in his bronco. First few weren't too bad 'til he ran head on into the fire hydrant. Didn't do him or the bronco much good.
