Hey guys i got this 2005 f250 5.4 for my lawncare and snow removal company it has 46,000 miles on it. After a snowstorm it threw a p0750 code which i erased and it hasnt thrown it again i also have no parking brake assembly and the exaust manifold is cracked should i put the money into making it run right or will i just keep having problems with this truck. I know the p0750 is a electrical problem with the solenoids i just dont wanna put time and effort into a truck that is not gonna be reliable.
A 2006 with only 46,000 miles is pretty good. I would keep it. The P0750 code could just be loose or dirty electrical connection on the transmission. Worse case you can replace the solenoid pack in the transmission it is not that difficult to do yourself. There are plenty videos on it.
Had my my exhaust manifold crack on my 2002 with 160,000. That was not easy to repair. You might be lucky. All the bolts on mine broke off. I tried to get one bolt off and had no luck. I brought it to as shop. He was able to get 7 of the 8 bolts out. Worked for a few months than starting the ticking noise. I found an after market bracket that will clamp the exhaust manifold where the bottom rear passenger bolt was broke.
In my opinion I would try to fix the two problems. That truck has low mileage.
