Hi, I retired in 2016 sold my 04 F-250 Super Duty and all my plowing equipment.
Then I bought this Silver 2016 F-150 XLT Scab FX4 4x4 5.0 3:73 E-locker.
I have had it almost 10 years and still love it as much as the day I bought it.
It is well taken care of and only has 28 k miles on it so far.
I plan on it being with me for the long haul.
welcome to FTE, from another retired mechanic with too many tools in too big a set of roller boxes, holding tools todays techs don't know how to use like a snap-on timing light, dwell tach, flat head ford valve tools
see you found your way around have fun, good luck in retirement
Thanks, the Camaro was a buddy of mines, I bought it from his wife after he passed away.
I got it running and driving and then parked it.
I replaced the entire fuel system.
↨Everything got blasted and painted.
The open 2:73 was smoked, so I found a 4:11 that was in nice condition
It needs just about everything; I gathered some parts and made a wish list....
Then I got a call from my uncle that he was passing the Vette on to me.
My grandfather bought the Vette new in 1970, and my mom and uncle inherited it when he passed.
Got my 1st ride in it in North Carolina when I was 6 yrs. old.
I did a full frame off restoration on it from 2008-2013 and sent it back down to Alabama to my uncle.
I did a lot of the work for free with the agreement it was coming to me next.
It finally did and now takes up space in the garage and keeps me from working on the Camaro. lol
SWEET BIKES i learned to ride on a surplus 45 , stepped from it to a 46 knucklehead to the 61 pan which started life as a police special to a 89 evo.
i can't ride anymore, messed my back up big time in a top fuel drag boat wreck caught air at 231 mph, videos show 7 nose over tail flips before landing
But seriously, that's all really cool, and you got the Corvette back and get to restore your friend's Camaro. I think it's time for a shop for all of that!
