I've got a 1978 f250, trying to find a decent window seal kit that isn't stupid expensive. Bought one on amazon, which the fitment was absolute garbage. Has anyone had any experience with the kits on rockauto?
As for installation, do the scrapers get installed first, then the windows? Or is it windows first, then scrapers.
I've replaced both broken glass with good glass with glass runs and belt strip that were in place and I've installed new belt strip and new glass runs after removing the glass, then just put the glass back in place. Hope it helps.
What "scrapers"? Belt strips is maybe what you meant. If so, I think easier to snap in with glass out, but I have done them with glass in but rolled down.
Yes sorry, I've seen both terms used so not sure what the "correct" one is. The ones I had ordered originally were too short and bent wrong, wasn't sure if its a common problem or just chinesium.

Long time ago, was 1989, bought them all from J C Whittney, they were fine.
More recently, like 2022, bought them mostly Dennis Carpenter or Auto Krafters, they are at least as good.
Best i have used on any rubber products by a long shot is Steele. Far superior product. Not sure where Dennis Carpenter or Autokrafters source their products from.
I was given some LMC window channel felts and belt line anti rattler/wipes. The wipes suck. They don't fit right or clip on right. My drivers side one is folding over and makes it hard to roll window up and down. I ordered some from the rubber the right way. But I haven't tried to put them on yet.
