Mornin peeps. I have a new to me 2012 f250 Super Duty and want to add air bags to the rear. I'm just not sure if it's lifted or not. I attached a couple pics of my springs.
I cant speak for the coils but Im pretty sure the rear isnt factory. There should be only the block with the bump stop. Id have to question the block/spring locator pins length with those smaller shims. Id bet they are to short. Normal is a pin thru the spring pack into the block. The block with its own pin that seats into the axles spring pad.
Ive got a pile of suspension parts from various rigs and yes, thats likely what they are. Id really look into the spring pin thing as a lack of could get ugly if the axle shifts if it hit a bump or?? Could take out drive shaft, tear up the bed side, all kinds of bad chit.
I agree about the rear spring perch... looks like an aftermarket spacer there. As to the front coil, I do not believe there is a spacer but I will look at my stock height F350, both front and rear, and see. Not today because it's about 8 degrees with a wind chill...
Forgot to add, there's two ways to do...up top with a metal piece or a polyurethan piece, I have seen online but no personal experience, and a disc style that bolts to the botton under the coil spring.
It is possible there is a smaller spacer under the rubber piece that comes from the factory to isolate the coil spring from the metal coil spring retainer, if I'm correct in saying that...
Then there is the possibility of an aftermarket lift coil, so if your truck does not have the factory rack or stance towards the front, that is a possbility.
