Hello, I have a F100, Late 1977, 4WD, flareside, standard cab, 390 CID V8.
I used it locally several times a week around town in NJ so I don’t put a ton of miles on it, but it is enough that I don’t qualify for classic car insurance. Are there other cheaper insurance opinions for limited usage? My insurance company only has standard options which is the same as what I pay for my newer cars.
Haggerty did not same me money because I only had liability coverage on my truck.
For about 50¢ per month savings the policy gave me full coverage, up to $15k and towing.
I had Grundy for years, but they would only i sure media everything was stored inside a structure. Sooooo 7 vehicles is a little tough to jamb into a 2 car garage. I switched to Hagerty and never looked back.
My best friend is a State Farm agent
They own Hagerty
I have my home and all my vehicles all insured with them (State Farm)
That means multi car and home coverage which is cheaper
My 68 Camaro I keep insured only costs me 180 for 6 months
Unlimited miles on all my policies
Good luck
We have Auto owners "classic" on my 77 and 01. The 77 is $198 a year, the 01 is about $250. They aint gonna pay out what its worth in a total anyway..
Other two vehicles have full coverage thru auto owners.
Hagerty was about $800 per year for both 77 & 01, bare bones policy.
I now have EVERYTHING with State Farm-
Classic cars
House
Daily Drivers
Umbrella
Used to have the classics insured thru Haggerty
My only issue with Haggerty is that they would not refund me any $$ when I dropped the coverages for the winter months when nothing but the DDs get driven.
Not an issue with State Farm.
